Mr. Harilaos, a retired general, is a widower with four daughters. He brought them up with the old values and military discipline. Three of his daughters are ready to get married but they cannot meet any eligible bachelors because of the rules. Then the general's sister comes back to Athens from Chicago. The fun begins when she brings with her the wind of change, and takes matters into her own hands so that she can find appropriate husbands for her nieces.
